Companies like Microsoft, Zoom, and Google are still squeezing more functionality into their video chat platforms. Case and point, Microsoft Teams has a new meeting type called Virtual Appointments. This will help businesses directly interact with their customers.
Even though the Coronavirus pandemic has cooled since 2020, businesses are still forced to work remotely. This means that most meetings are still being held over video chat meetings. This is the reality that a lot of companies have to face, so it’s good that these companies are putting so much effort into making their video chat platforms better.
Microsoft Teams introduces virtual appointments
A bit of a smaller update for the platform, but it’s a welcome one. This change makes a platform more friendly to businesses that want to directly contact their customers. These are called virtual appointments. There are notable changes between a virtual appointment invite in a regular meeting invite.
When a person gets an invite to a virtual appointment, they’ll be met with valuable information about the appointment. Also, guests will be able to join from any device whether or not it has the Microsoft Teams app installed. Last but not least, when you join the meeting, you will be put in a virtual waiting room to await the company to meet you.
This feature is not available to users as of yet. However, it’s slated to come out soon.
