The Razer Leviathan V2 Pro soundbar is finally available to buy if you’ve been wanting to get your hands on it. Earlier this year Razer officially announced the Leviathan V2 Pro. The evolution of its soundbar audio system, featuring AI-powered head-tracking and a compact design made to fit more easily on desks. Razer says it can deliver a surround sound experience, but without needing an actual surround sound system.
Making for a simpler setup that takes up less space while still putting out some decent sound for games. It does this, by tracking your head position using the integrated IR camera and then beamforming the sound directly to your ears. So it sounds like the game audio is coming from all around you when in reality it’s coming from a single source. For those that detest clutter, it might be the perfect solution. Short of just wearing headphones all the time when you play. But the setup doesn’t come cheap.
Razer is selling the new soundbar for $399.99. That certainly is hefty sum for a soundbar, but far from being the most expensive option. Not to mention any options that do cost more are likely to take up much more room.
The Leviathan V2 Pro is only available from Razer
Many of Razer’s products are available from just about any retailer. But some of them start out as Razer exclusives. The Leviathan V2 Pro is a Razer exclusive, so consumers are limited to purchasing one directly from Razer. Fow now at least. You can however, order it online through the Razer website, or pick it up from a local Razer Store location. If you happen to live near one.
Eventually it should be available from other retailers like Amazon and Best Buy. But Razer doesn’t mention exactly when you can pick it up outside of its own outlets. Pre-orders are officially up as of this morning, and they begin shipping out to buyers on February 3.
