Modern Warfare II will enter season 03 on April 12, and Activision just released the roadmap showcasing everything that’s coming. Yesterday it put out a teaser trailer that mentioned a few things, including the arrival of Plunder in Warzone 2.0, as well as new maps and modes for multiplayer.
This season centers around a battle between Alejandro and Valeria, two of the campaign’s main characters. And as such, both will be available as operators for the coming season. As confirmed in the roadmap, you’ll be able to unlock both of them through the battle pass. So playing often or for longer sessions to earn bp tokens is something you want to focus on if you want both operators. Of course, you could also pick up the new Blackcell package, which is a new battle pass offering that should get you closer early on.
Blackcell will cost $29.99 and will give you everything the regular battle pass gives you, plus a bunch of exclusive extras. It might be worth it if you have less time to play and want to ensure you get everything.
Modern Warfare II Season 03 roadmap reveals raid episode 03 and more
There’s A LOT of content coming in season 03. Which by the way, drops next week on April 12. So clear your evenings and make time for your squad. You’re going to want to jump in right away. That being said, not all of the content will be available at season launch. But here’s what to expect throughout the season.
Plunder is one of the biggest additions coming next season. As mentioned in the season 03 teaser post, it’s a mode from Warzone 2.0 that tasks you with stacking the most cash of all teams. The team with the most cash when the timer runs out wins. Mid-season players can also expect the third raid episode to drop. This will continue the story of the campaign even further and present new challenges for players in spec-ops mode. If you’ve not finished the second raid episode, now’s the time. Though realistically you should have a few more weeks to get it done before the third one arrives.
Next season also introduces the new Cranked mode, the return of Gunfight, and three new core maps plus two new battle maps. The core maps will be Pelayo’s Lighthouse, Black Gold, and Alboran Hatchery. Activision says there’s another new core map coming in-season. As for the two new battle maps, these will be Sattiq Cave Complex and Rohan Oil.
Next season will introduce quite a few more changes and features, all of which you can check out in the official blog post. You can also check out the full roadmap below.
