Ahead of CES kicking off on Tuesday, LG is announcing its new 2025 OLED evo lineup. These new OLED evo TVs are powered by LG’s latest Alpha 11 AI processor Gen 2, and also boast incredible color and brightness. In fact, these TVs have a new Brightness Booster Ultimate technology, which is able to enhance the light control architecture and light-boosting algorithms to achieve brightness that is three times higher than conventional OLED TVs. This is a huge advancement for LG, and results in bringing fine details into focus across different brightness levels, giving you a more vibrant and lifelike viewing experience.
One of the main advantages to having an OLED TV versus any other technology, is the black levels. OLED panels light up each individual pixel, making for black levels that are unparalleled, thanks to the backlight not lighting up the entire panel. UL Solution has verified that these new TVs have “Perfect Black” and “Perfect Color”, and it is also certified by Intertek for 100% color fidelity. Basically, this is the best picture quality that LG has ever produced.
LG debuts new Filmmaker Mode and Ambient Light Compensation for 2025
New in 2025 is Filmmaker Mode for LG’s OLED evo 4K TVs. The company says that it worked with the creative community to develop this mode. So that it will give you the best picture, and what the director intended with each movie and TV show you watch. Ambient Light Compensation is able to accurately detect the lighting conditions of the viewing environment and automatically adjust the picture settings to maintain the filmmaker’s original intent. Giving you a cinematic experience in any lighting condition.
Sound hasn’t been forgotten on the 2025 OLED evo TVs either. AI Sound Pro is able to deliver unmatched sound experience, with virtual 11.1.2 channels of surround sound. So there’s truly no need for you to add a soundbar to your setup.
LG is also catering to the gamers out there, with the first 4K 165Hz Variable Refresh Rate TV, also certified by NVIDIA G-Sync and AMD FreeSync Premium. Giving you minimal input lag, tear-free and stutter-free gameplay. It is also the first TVs to get the ClearMR 10000 certification by VESA, which ensures flawless motion and seamless experiences even during fast-paced action sequences.
LG has not yet announced pricing for the new OLED evo TVs. We expect that to happen in the coming months, as these TVs typically don’t go on sale until the middle of the year.
