If you want to join Reddit but find the platform a bit confusing when it comes to posting and interacting, you are in luck. On Thursday, Reddit announced a bunch of new posting tools to make it easier for new users to join the platform and use it. The new set of tools will ensure that users find communities with ease, don’t break any rules, and understand how to contribute across the platform.
Reddit’s new posting tools are here to help users interact with ease on the platform
For starters, the new “Community Suggestions” feature will help you find the right audience to interact with. If you’ve created a post and are unsure which community post to post in, now, there’s a new “Pick a Community” dropdown that will offer relevant subreddit recommendations based on the content of your posts.
Next, you have the new “Post Check” feature. This new Reddit tool will help you ensure that their posts don’t break any of the subreddits’ rules. They can further update the posts before publishing them to a particular subreddit. Reddit, in its announcement post, says that this will help them “avoid accidentally breaking rules and having their post removed.”
You can access the new tool by clicking the wand icon on the low right of the post-composing interface. Once you tap the icon, the new Reddit tool will show if your post breaks any rule of a specific subreddit. The third new posting tool introduced by Reddit is “Post Recovery.”
Using this tool, you can repost content removed from a specific subreddit to another subreddit. The new option will appear as a prompt under the removed post to a suggested alternative subreddit. You can check the screenshots of all the aforementioned posting tools below.

Suggestion to earn more karma and improved post insights
Moving on, there’s a new tool that offers recommendations about how you can contribute to a specific community. This tool is specifically useful for those who don’t meet the requirements for karma (reputation score on Reddit) of a particular community but are willing to post to it. Reddit will notify you about this and suggest earning more karma by posting or commenting across the platform.
Reddit has also introduced a new and improved “Post Insights” feature. It will offer a deep insight into your post views, upvotes, downvotes, shares, and more. Not to mention, all the new Reddit posting tools are available immediately on mobile and desktop worldwide.
For those unaware, Reddit also previously hinted that paid subreddits are coming this year. However, there’s no official announcement of the same just yet. In a related company news, Reddit’s co-founder Alexis Ohanian is reportedly among the names to jointly acquire TikTok. Moreover, Reddit is also in some trouble as it is facing an investigation in the UK over child data policies.
