After many months of leaks and rumors for both the Galaxy S10 Lite and Note 10 Lite, Samsung has made the two devices official.
The two devices look exactly like the leak we brought you about a month ago.
Two very similar devices, for two different product lines
Now that they are official, the Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite and Note 10 Lite are both very similar, when it comes to the spec sheet. Both are sporting 6.7-inch 1080p AMOLED displays, with a hole-punch for the camera. There’s also 128GB of storage and either 6GB or 8GB of RAM (this will differ on region and market), along with a whopping 4500mAh capacity battery. Given these specs and that battery capacity, these should last close to two full days.
For processors, Samsung isn’t naming them specifically. But it sounds like the Galaxy S10 Lite is getting a Snapdragon 855 and the Galaxy Note 10 Lite gets the Exynos 9810.
The cameras are a bit different here, though. The Galaxy S10 Lite has a main sensor that’s a 48-megapixel camera with a f/2.0 aperture and Super Steady OIS. Then there is a 12-megapixel, f/2.2 aperture ultra-wide camera. But Samsung didn’t stop there. It also included a 5-megapixel macro camera. A trend that appears to be starting to take off now. And there’s a 32-megapixel camera on the front.
Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Lite
Galaxy Note 10 Lite features a triple camera setup, which is pretty much identical to the Galaxy Note 10. There’s three 12-megapixel sensors for wide, ultra-wide and telephoto.
Running Android 10 out-of-the-box
The Galaxy S10 Lite and Galaxy Note 10 Lite are both launching with Android 10. That’s not a huge surprise, considering Samsung has already started rolling out the update to the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy Note 10 smartphones that are already available on the market.
Though, coming with Android 10 out-of-the-box is a big deal. Normally the newest Galaxy S smartphone is the first Samsung smartphone to come with the new version of Android. But this year it’s a „mid-range” smartphone that gets it.
Pricing and Availability
Samsung has not confirmed pricing nor when either of these devices will be available. But they will be shown off at CES 2020 next week. So it is very likely that we could get that information after CES. It will of course, be announced in each region.
As far as colors go, the Galaxy S10 Lite is going to come in Prism White, Prism Black and Prism Blue. While the Galaxy Note 10 Lite is going to be available in Aura Glow, Aura Black and Aura Red.
