T-Mobile's OnePlus 6T Is Finally Receiving Android 10 Update

T-Mobile’s OnePlus 6T is finally receiving Android 10. This update is two months behind. A regular variant of the OnePlus 6T got the Android 10 update back two months ago, along with the OnePlus 6.
T-Mobile’s OnePlus 6T Android 10 update comes with an 'A6013_34_191228′ build number. This update also brings a new security patch to the phone, Android security patch for December 2019.
The changes are basically the same as on the global variant. You’ll get a brand new set of full screen gestures, and everything else that Android 10 brings to the table. That goes for both the design and under-the-hood changes.
T-Mobile’s OnePlus 6T Android 10 update weighs around 1.6GB
The update file that you will be downloading weighs around 1.6GB, in case you were wondering. It is already rolling out to devices, though it’s a staged rollout, so it may take a couple of days for you to get it.
The original OnePlus 6 & 6T Android 10 update did not go as smoothly as you may think. OnePlus pushed an update that was quite buggy, and it had to halt it.
It took the company quite a bit of time to fix up the update, and starts to roll it out again, in the form of a hotfix.
The OnePlus 6T is no longer the company’s flagship, not even close. This phone got announced at the end of 2018, and it is still quite powerful, but it’s no longer the most powerful handset in the company’s lineup.
OnePlus had introduced the OnePlus 7 and 7 Pro last year, which were followed by the OnePlus 7T and 7T Pro.
The OnePlus 6T was the first OnePlus-branded phone to include a waterdrop display notch, though. It was also the company’s first smartphone to sport an in-display fingerprint scanner.
The device is fueled by the Snapdragon 835, and it still runs great
This handset is fueled by the Snapdragon 835 64-bit octa-core processor. That chip is still holding up great, and the OnePlus 6T still runs great, especially with the new operating system.
Android 10 brings various improvements under the hood which boosts its performance. It should also prolong battery life on the OnePlus 6T, though it remains to be seen if that will be noticeable.
Your phone will let you know once the update is available. You can manually check if you want to, though. You can do that via the phone’s settings. This is an OTA (over-the-air) update, of course.
