Pokémon Masters is due to release globally on August 29. That means it’s almost time to arrive on the island of Pasio and become the champion of the Pokémon Masters League.
While the game will be launching worldwide this week, it’s been in a beta in Singapore and a couple other regions. Since the Singaporean version is in English, it’s also possible to play the game early.
With the launch just days away, players will no doubt be gearing up to get started. There will be plenty of normal story mode content to go through. There is also an event that is already planned for directly after launch.
Reach For The Top & Become The Very Best
The game’s first event will be a limited time Story Event called Reach For The Top. Players will have just a few days to play before the event begins, as it starts on September 2.
Blue and Pidgeot will be the center point of the event as the featured sync pair characters. Throughout the event time frame, players will be able to go through a special side story that follows Blue and Pidgeot.
The two characters will also be featured in the sync pair scout. This is the game’s gacha mechanic for obtaining new sync pairs outside of the story unlocks.
Players who don’t want to miss out on the first story event will need to complete it by September 29 at 11:59 PM Pacific Standard Time. However, events will eventually cycle back into the game. If you miss it the first time around you’ll have another chance to complete it.
Don’t Miss Out On The Launch Celebration
As with many online games on mobile Pokémon Masters is going to have a launch celebration which features rewards. Players who log in daily during the celebration will get free in-game items like gems, one of the in-game currencies.
Gems are used for the sync pair scout feature mentioned above, and it takes 300 gems to use this feature once. Luckily players who acquire all of the free gems during the celebration will get 3,000 gems total.
This is enough for up to ten sync pair scout uses so you’ll definitely want to take advantage of it.
In addition to the gems, players will also be able to earn other in-game gifts. To acquire these players will need to complete special quests that are associated with the launch celebration when the game releases this Thursday.
