Spotify once again partnered with Google to offer the Google Nest Mini for its premium subscribers. Previously, we have seen a similar offer from Spotify in the US. This time, the free Google Nest Mini offer is only limited to Spotify users in Canada.
The offer applies to all the existing and new premium subscribers. However, the users who already claimed the free speaker through earlier Spotify offer are now excluded. The premium subscribers accessing through partner companies or paid using gift cards are also not eligible.
The users currently in a trial period can opt for a paid premium plan to get the free Google Nest Mini. In Canada, the individual and duo plans cost CAD 9.99 and CAD 12.99 per month respectively. The Duo users can get the family for an extra CAD 2 per month.
Unlike earlier, the current offer is also applicable to the student plan that costs just CAD 4.99. The free Google Nest Mini offer ends on September 30, the code to claim the speaker will expire on October 31 or while stocks last.
Here is how to get Google Nest Mini for free with Spotify
Spotify will send an email to all the eligible premium subscribers’ registered email addresses. There will be a link included for ordering the Google Nest Mini for free. If you haven’t received the email, you can click on this link to redeem the offer.
While placing the order, choose standard shipping over expedited shipping to save on the additional shipping charges. The Google Nest Mini is the second-gen Google Home Mini speaker. Previously, Spotify also offered the Google Home Mini speaker for its premium subscribers.
Even Google sometimes offers the Google Nest Mini to YouTube Premium and YouTube Music Premium users for free. Currently, the Google Nest Mini is retailing for CAD 39 through Google Store in Canada. It comes in Chalk, Charcoal, Coral, and Sky color options.
Since the offer is valid only until stock lasts, it’s better to go with the available color option than waiting for your favorite color. The Google Nest Mini is one of the best smart speakers with Google Assistant support. Google smart speakers also support streaming their favorite music through third-party streaming services like Spotify.
Speaking of Spotify, it is rumored to soon introduce a new feature called Virtual Events. Expect to soon see the new „Upcoming Virtual Events” section within the Spotify app. As of now, there is no official announcement from the company about this feature.
