ESPN+ has a full schedule this weekend, now that College Football is back. And that’s not all that ESPN+ has to show.
There’s also UFC Fight Night, Top Rank Boxing and much more going down this weekend.
Let’s go over what’s happening this weekend on ESPN+.
College Football returns
Many college football fans, like myself, have been anxiously awaiting this weekend. The return of college football.
ESPN+ is going to be the exclusive home of over 300 football games this season, and for kickoff weekend, it has a couple of really great games.
There’s Syracuse at Liberty on Saturday at 6PM. Syracuse is looking for another great season after completing their first 10 win season in 17 years, finishing ranked #15. And for Liberty, this is their first season as a bowl eligible FBS team.
Then there’s Stephen F. Austin at Baylor on Saturday at 7PM. Baylor has the potential to be a dark horse in the Big 12, being led by junior QB Charlie Brewer.
Finally, rounding out kickoff weekend, is Nicholls at Kansas State on Saturday, also at 7PM. Kansas State has a brand new head coach in Chris Klieman, and this comes after he won four FCS championships at NDSU. Last year when Nicholls faced Kansas State, Nicholls upset Kansas State in Overtime.
UFC Fight Night takes place in China
This weekend, UFC Fight Night China takes place, with Jessica Andrade vs Zhang Weili, on August 31. They will be facing off of the UFC Women’s Strawweight Championship.
Andrade became the first Brazilian Strawweight champion after she defeated Rose Namajunes at UFC 237. She’s also ranked #15 right now, and the first fighter to win a championship by knockout slam.
Top Rank Boxing
Then there’s Top Rank Boxing this weekend, also taking place on August 31.
With Vasiliy Lomachenko vs Luke Campbell. This is a triple title fight, for the WBA, WBC, WBO Lightweight Titles. And the winner walks away with all three belts.
ESPN+ is your home for plenty of great action this weekend and really any weekend.
