It seems like Pocophone F2 may finally launch in 2020. Xiaomi has submitted a trademark for the 'POCO F2′, according to a leaked trademark application.
Those of you who do not know, the Pocophone F1 aka POCO F1 launched in 2018. That device managed to become extremely popular due to its powerful specs, and low price tag.
The Pocophone F1 was actually considered to be a flagship killer by some. This device got released by Xiaomi’s sub-brand, POCO. Its successor, the Pocophone F2, was expected to arrive in 2019, but that never happened.
The Redmi K20 aka Xiaomi Mi 9T, and Redmi K20 Pro aka Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro, kind of replaced the Pocophone F1 in the market. Some people even assumed that the Pocophone F2 may never arrive.

Well, that may not be the case. If this leaked trademark is to be believed, the Pocophone F2 may launch in 2020. The trademark itself got shared on Twitter, and other than the name, it doesn’t reveal much.
The Pocophone F1 got announced back in August 2018. If Xiaomi plans on sticking to that release cycle, its successor may arrive in August this year. We’re only guessing, of course.
At this point, we know nothing of this point. Xiaomi may or may not be planning to release the device. If it does end up getting released, chances are it will feature a much smaller display notch than the Pocophone F1. That is, if it ends up including a display notch at all.
The Pocophone F2 will probably include really thin bezels, and it may include a display camera hole, instead of a notch. It will be interesting to see if Xiaomi plans on sticking to polycarbonate.
The Pocophone F1’s shell was made out of polycarbonate. That not only made the phone more resistant to drops, but it also managed to bring its price down quite a bit. The company may be looking to do the same with the second-gen model, as consumers did not really complain that much.
If it becomes a reality, the device will be fueled by the Snapdragon 865
The Pocophone F2, if it gets announced, will probably be fueled by the Snapdragon 865. The device will include plenty of RAM on the inside, and a large display. This phone will be extremely well-specced, as that is one of the lineup’s characteristics.
The phone is also expected to include two SIM card slots. We do not know what display to expect, exactly, but an OLED panel will probably be a part of the package. A flat OLED panel, most probably.
There you have it. If this phone is on the way, leaks will probably start popping up soon, even if the phone doesn’t arrive before August.
