The OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro monikers have just been confirmed by an Amazon affiliate page. You will be able to see those names in an image below this article.
OnePlus 8 monikers could suggest an earlier-than-expected launch
This listing more or less confirms that the two devices will arrive sooner than expected. The OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro have been leaking for quite some time now. Even though OnePlus’ release cycle would suggest they’ll arrive in May, their launch may occur sooner than expected.
Do note that these listings have been removed in the meantime, but not before someone got a screenshot.
Some rumors have been hinting that the two phones will launch at MWC 2020, but those rumors have probably been false. OnePlus did not really tease the arrival of either of the two devices just yet. The company hasn’t been hyping up MWC 2020 in any way, so… don’t hold your breath.
If we had to guess, we’d say that the two handsets will launch in either March or April. The OnePlus 8 Lite had also been mentioned thus far, but we’re still not sure it will launch.
The OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro monikers have been confirmed by this listing, more or less, while the two phones have been leaking for quite some time now. Both the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro have surfaced in renders already.
The two phones will be made out of metal and glass, while they will include a display camera hole. That display camera hole will not be centered, if the leaked renders are to be believed.
Both phones will sport really thin bezels, and will ship with Android 10 out of the box. On top of it, you’ll get OnePlus’ OxygenOS, of course. The company did indirectly confirm that the Snapdragon 865 will fuel these two phones.
The company recently joined the WPC, wireless charging is coming
OnePlus has also joined the WPC (Wireless Power Consortium), which pretty much confirms rumors that the OnePlus 8 Pro will support wireless charging. It is possible that the regular model will also offer such a feature.
Both devices are also rumored to include a proper IP certification this time around. They could be IP68 certified, but nothing has been confirmed just yet.
OnePlus had introduced its 120Hz QHD+ display already, and that panel will almost certainly be included in the OnePlus 8 Pro. The OnePlus 8 is also said to include a 120Hz display, but its resolution will probably be lower.
You can expect both devices to offer plenty of RAM, and storage. Multiple cameras will be included on the back of each phone, and large battery packs are also expected.
