HBO Max Launches On May 27 & Most AT&T Customers Will Get It For Free

AT&T announced today that HBO Max is going to launch on May 27. And it also announced that most of AT&T customers will get HBO Max for free.
The latest, anticipated streaming service is almost here, and it’s HBO Max. It is set to launch on May 27, a little over a month from now. And it’ll have a ton of content. This is because AT&T now owns Time Warner, which includes Warner Brothers studios, as well as DC Comics and a handful of TV networks.
Warner Brothers has the second largest movie studio in the US. So as you can imagine, it has made a ton of content over the years. Not just movies but also TV shows.
Here’s what’s coming to HBO Max
There are going to be six HBO Max originals. These include Love Life, On The Record, Craftopia, new Looney Tunes cartons and Sesame’s workshop’s the Not Too Late Show with Elmo. The Flight Attendant is going to be coming later this year, likely delayed due to the pandemic that has halted production at most studios.
There will also be some other shows that we all know and love. Like Friends and The Big Bang Theory.
Now, unfortunately, the Friends Reunion won’t be available at launch. It was due to be filmed rather recently, but with film studios being shut down in this pandemic, the reunion got delayed.
There is going to be more HBO Max originals coming down the road too.
Which AT&T customers get HBO Max for free?
All customers will get HBO Max for free, for at least a month. But let’s break it down, as to which customers get what.
For AT&T wireless customers, if you are on its Unlimited Elite plan, then you get HBO Max for free. If you are on the other mobile plans, it’ll be free for a month and then $14.99 per month afterwards.
For AT&T TV and other video customers, you get HBO Max for free on the AT&T TV NOW Max, Premier, DIRECTV Premier and AT&T U-Verse U400 and U450 plans. If you are on the AT&T TV CHOICE, XTRA or ULTIMATE plans, you will get HBO Max for a year. Those video packages not mentioned here will get it for three months for free.
Finally, AT&T internet customers that are not on the AT&T Internet 1000 plan will get HBO Max for one month. Those with Internet 1000 get it for free.
