Samsung has taken some good decisions in the past like introducing the Galaxy M-series lineup. Note that Samsung scrapped the Galaxy J-series and went ahead with a new lineup in the budget-to-mid-range category.
Moreover, ever since the Galaxy M-series have come to the party, Samsung has widened its grip in the price-constraint section in India and other markets. The first Galaxy M-series phones were the Galaxy M10 and M20. Both the phones were released back in 2019. And several leaks suggest that Samsung will soon release the Galaxy M51.
Besides, going by a recent report from Sammobile, this Galaxy M51 will equip a 64MP with a 12MP ultrawide lens. Though there is not much clarity regarding the exact specification of the camera module, it is rumored to be the same 12MP lens as seen in the Galaxy A51.
Earlier coverage has highlighted that Galaxy M51 with model number SM-M515F was spotted on a Geekbench listing. This confirms that the phone is in the making.
Other specs, available as of now, suggest that the phone will rock the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 processor or 730 SoC. A fact that Snapdragon 675 processor is an old processor, we cannot rule out the possibility of the Snapdragon 730 processor. Whatever the case may be, we will have to wait for more leaks to confirm this piece of information.
The Galaxy M51 will come with a quad-camera setup
The Galaxy M51 will sport a quad-camera setup. However, that is still kept under wraps and there is no information related to the other two cameras. The Galaxy M51 is also expected to bring the 'Single Take’ feature out of the box as seen on Samsung flagship devices. Samsung from time-to-time has stressed on brining great spec phones at an affordable price.
As per the earlier Geekbench listing, the Samsung Galaxy M51 is said to house 8GB of RAM. It should also come with Android 10 out of the box with Samsung’s latest One UI 2.5.
The battery could very well be 5000 mAh-capacity or bigger. Other specs include an in-display fingerprint scanner, a Super AMOLED punch-hole display of Full HD+ resolution, and dual SIM support.
Samsung is already gearing up for the upcoming 'Unpacked Event’ scheduled in August 2020. Here it will unveil the much-awaited Galaxy Note 20 series, Galaxy Buds Live, Galaxy Fold 2, and a newer Galaxy Watch. As far as the launch date for the Galaxy M51 is concerned, the phone could see the light of the day sometime in September. We will keep you posted once we have any information regarding that.
