Samsung has already rolled out the November security patch for the Galaxy Note 10, Note 10+, and Note 10+ 5G. However, users with carrier-locked smartphones will have to wait for their respective carriers to roll out the same update. Now, Verizon is pushing out the latest November security patch update to the carrier-locked Galaxy Note 10 smartphones.
The update labeled as System Update 15 doesn’t have much to offer other than the November 2020 security patch. This new update comes with the software versions N970USQS5DTJ8, N975USQS5DTJ8, and N976VVRS5DTJ8 for the Galaxy Note 10, Galaxy Note 10+, and the Galaxy Note 10+ 5G respectively.

While the changelog doesn’t reveal the changes, it does include fixes for bugs that will improve the device’s stability. Users can manually check for the latest update by going to Settings > Software Update > Download. Once the update is available, tap on the „Install now” button to download and install it. However, the new update won’t show up when roaming.
The November security patch on Samsung smartphones fixes five critical vulnerabilities in the OS along with 29 high-level threats and 31 moderate threats. Over the last couple of quarters, Samsung has come a long way in rolling out the updates and security patches.
One UI 3.0 Beta for Galaxy Note 10 series now available in South Korea
Even the latest November security patch was first released by Samsung for its Galaxy Z Fold 2. It was rolled out in the last week of October. Samsung started rolling out the new One UI 2.5 update based on Android 10 in early September.
The company recently released the latest One UI 3.0 beta update for the Galaxy Note 10 smartphones in South Korea. As per the changelog, the One UI 3.0 beta update also comes bundled with the November security patch. There is no information yet about the expansion of the One UI 3.0 beta program for the Galaxy Note 10 users in other markets as of now.
While the Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10+ were launched with Android 9.0 Pie, the company has promised to offer three years of software updates. Even with the upcoming Android 11, Galaxy Note 10 smartphones are also eligible to receive one more major OS update.
With the latest OS updates, OEMs are also helping users use their devices for a longer duration. With smartphones becoming more and more powerful, the roll out of new updates will never be a concern due to the lack of hardware support.
