The phone wasn’t terribly expensive at retail, especially compared to competing devices. But the price is always better when it’s low as can be. And in this case, right now that’s $539.
For that cost, consumers are getting a device with a 6.65-inch display which RedMagic is calling an Esport AMOLED display. It also ha a 144Hz refresh rate so frame rates should be smooth with gameplay visuals looking nice and fluid.
The phone also comes with 320Hz shoulder triggers. So controls in games can feel a little bit more like a proper controller. Although you still use touch-based controls with the phone screen, the shoulder triggers provide additional buttons for you.

$539 is the cost of the base model
Worth keeping in mind is that the new lower $539 price is for the base model of the phone. This is a $40 discount from the original cost. This model comes with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
But RedMagic is discounting the more powerful model too. Normally the cost of this model is $650. But with the new discount the price is down to $599.
For the extra $50 you get a bump to 12GB of RAM, and 256GB of internal storage. That should deliver quite an increase in gaming performance and is likely to make a big difference for power users.
The RedMagic 5s is also powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 865: Dual Mode 5G mobile platform. As the phone is 5G capable. Though you will need to live in an area with 5G coverage and be subscribed to a carrier that offers 5G speeds to take advantage of the phone’s full potential.
