Amazon Prematurely Lists Google Pixel 7 With Its US Price

Amazon may have just confirmed the pricing for the Pixel 7 series. The retailer giant prematurely listed the 128GB Pixel 7 complete with its US price. As previously rumored, the new Google smartphone starts at $599. This should mean the rumored $899 starting price of the Pixel 7 Pro is also true.
The Pixel 7 listing on Amazon reportedly went up in the past 24 hours. Of course, the slip-up happened way ahead of time and the listing was taken down soon after. However, not before people could grab a screenshot and share it on other platforms (via). It shows the unlocked model in the Obsidian color and gives us our first official look at the front side of the phone. Google will also offer the phone in Snow and Lemongrass colors.
Additionally, the Amazon listing tells that the Pixel 7 will be released on October 13. If true, that’s a week after Google takes wraps off what’s left of its new smartphones on October 6. Previous rumors suggest that pre-orders for the phones will begin immediately after their unveiling during the fall Made by Google event. The Pro model will come in Obsidian, Hazel, and Snow colors.
Earlier leaks suggested that Target will offer a $100 credit on the Pixel 7 and $200 on the Pixel 7 Pro. It’s unclear if Amazon will also have similar offers for the new Pixels. This listing doesn’t mention that but maybe the retailer noticed the slip-up before it could add more information and pulled it down immediately. We aren’t ruling out more of these leaks before the official announcement next week. So stay tuned.
This Pixel 7 pricing is quite reasonable
As said earlier, this isn’t the first time we are hearing about Pixel 7 pricing. All the leaks have suggested that the new Google phones will cost the same as their respective predecessors. And that is reasonable pricing. The new models will bring some notable upgrades over the 2021 offerings. Most notably, Google will ship the phones with its second-gen custom Tensor processor made by Samsung. The two companies have had a year to optimize the chipset and integrate it better with Google’s software. So we should be getting a substantial performance boost this year.
It’s just over a week to go for the Pixel 7 launch now, so the wait won’t be much longer before things go official. The event will also see the arrival of the Pixel Watch and new Nest smart home products. We will bring all the announcements at the event to you right here on AndroidHeadlines.com.
