Razer adds wireless charging to its latest gaming earbuds

Razer’s latest gaming earbuds are here, named the Hammerhead Pro HyperSpeed, and they add some notable improvements over the company’s last pair of true wireless earbuds. Namely, wireless charging. Something that fans have been requesting for quite some time.
Of course wireless charging isn’t the only new change Razer made. Even if it is likely to be one of the more useful and well-liked features. Perhaps the bigger change, by Razer’s account, is the feature that became part of the product’s namesake. The HyperSpeed wireless dongle.
The Hammerhead Pro HyperSpeed, as the name implies, features Razer’s HyperSpeed wireless technology for low-latency connections to whatever you’re using the earbuds with. Whether that be a PC, Nintendo Switch, mobile phone, PS5, or Steam Deck. Razer says that with this dongle, gamers can experience nearly lag-free audio performance.
The Razer Hammerhead Pro HyperSpeed are more versatile
Which is important if you want a more immersive experience with your games. Because the last thing you want is for events in-game to happen noticeably faster than the audio transmits. The HyperSpeed dongle provides yet another benefit, too. Unlike Razer’s previous true wireless earbuds, these can connect to devices that can’t be used with Bluetooth audio. Such as the PS5, which doesn’t support it.
In addition to the HyperSpeed wireless dongle and wireless charging case, the new earbuds also come with support for adjustable ANC. As well as a Do Not Disturb mode for those times you really don’t want to be bothered while gaming. This is solely for blocking out Bluetooth notifications from your phone if you have it connected to the earbuds while the dongle is connected to your console or PC. This way you can focus on the game.
Like the Hammerhead True Wireless V2, these also come with Razer Chroma, which can be managed using the Razer Audio app. Razer’s new earbuds go on sale today for $199.99 and can be picked up from retailers like Amazon, or directly from Razer.
