Samsung's tri-fold phone may charge at a snail's pace

Summary: We just got a hint about the charging speed of Samsung’s tri-fold phone. It’s tipped to be between 23W and 24W. This means that it will charge slower than the company’s flagship phones on the market.
One of the smartphone specs we pay the most attention to is charging speed. While faster charging has a negative effect on battery health, most tech users love the feeling of getting a full day’s battery on a 30-minute charge. This is why people have become accustomed to seeing phones that charge at speeds as high as 120W.
However, when we talk about the companies that provide the fastest charging, Samsung never enters the conversation. This is because the company has yet to give its phones charging speeds any faster than 45W. That’s pretty sad, as there are budget phones that charge much faster than that. Well, you’re going to be very disappointed by the charging speed of Samsung’s upcoming tri-fold phone.
The Samsung tri-fold phone had its charging speed tipped, and it’s slow!
From the looks of it, Samsung’s tri-fold phone should be a pretty powerful device. We’re all looking forward to seeing how it stacks up with the Huawei Mate XT that wowed the world last year. We don’t know too much about this device, but more information will trickle in as time goes on.
PandaFlash on X just posted a new rumor about this device’s charging speed, and this number look pretty bleak. From the looks of it, the Samsung tri-fold phone will have a charging speed much lower than its own flagship phones. Mind you, this will most likely be Samsung’s most expensive phone.
According to the rumor, the phone will have a charging speed between 23W and 24W. So, it might be advertised as having 25W charging. That’s on the lower end of the spectrum for flagship smartphones. It’s actually 44% slower than the max charging speed on the latest Galaxy S phones.
It must be mentioned that this is the test charging speed. So, there’s the chance that it could be higher when the phone officially launches. Only time will tell.
