Anime used to be a much more niche form of entertainment outside of Japan more than two decades ago, but it’s now one of the most popular forms of media, and you’ll be able to watch a lot of it for free on Samsung TV Plus. Officially announced this week, Samsung TV Plus is getting a new channel for anime content via the It’s Anime channel.
Some shows are exclusive to It’s Anime, which is likely to get more people engaged. The Castlevania series, for example, is a big reason why some people subscribe to Netflix. Because it’s the only place you’ll find it. Outside of exclusive content, fans can expect a wide variety of shows and movies. It’s Anime is entirely free, although it does have ads, so viewers should expect ad breaks here and there.
The It’s Anime channel is live for Samsung TV Plus viewers in the US and Canada
If you have a compatible Samsung smart TV and you subscribe to Samsung TV Plus, and live in the US or Canada, then you can access the It’s Anime channel for free starting now. The channel went live this week, so it should pop up alongside the other channel options.
Some of the content available on the It’s Anime channel includes Your Forma, Tougen Anki, Tonbo!, and Umamusume: Cinderella Gray, among others. While the It’s Anime channel is only available in the US and Canada right now, it’ll expand to other regions eventually. Deadline reports that Remow, the Tokyo-based company that runs the It’s Anime network, plans to expand It’s Anime to more regions throughout the year and into 2026. It will be coming to other platforms as well.
For Samsung TV Plus viewers, smart TVs are, naturally, the place you might think of viewing this content. However, it’s also available on Samsung smart monitors. This addition of anime content follows Samsung’s recent addition of Rugby content back at the end of June.
