Samsung’s much-awaited Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 are finally here, and they also bring One UI 8 alongside. Thanks to multiple One UI 8 leaks and beta builds over the past few weeks, we have already seen some of the upgraded features. The Now Brief feature is among them. Interestingly, Samsung has upgraded the Now Brief feature to add new info cards, which now include YouTube recommendations as well.
One UI 8’s Now Brief summaries add YouTube recommendations
As mentioned earlier, Samsung has upgraded Now Brief in One UI 8 with a bunch of new features. For example, Now Brief now comes with an audio option that reads aloud your daily summaries. Additionally, the feature now includes several new info card types. They allow you to add a lot of lot spot reminders, smart home updates, and wearable battery alerts.
These changes make Now Brief even more useful for One UI 8 users. One of the important additions made to Now Brief in One UI 8 is the YouTube info card. Thanks to the new info card, your personalized YouTube recommendations now pop up in your daily summaries.
Folks over at Android Authority first spotted this change in the latest One UI 8 release. As seen in the screenshots below, Now Brief’s “Content to include” menu now has a toggle for YouTube. When you enable it, you’ll see a new section added to your Now Brief summary, which is titled “Check out these YouTube videos.” It’s worth noting that Now Brief requests access to your YouTube account when you first enable the toggle to get personalized recommendations.

The feature is only available on the latest foldables
With the new YouTube info card, Now Brief summaries also help you discover videos that you may want to watch. For now, the stable One UI 8 is only available to the latest Samsung foldables, and so is Now Brief’s YouTube recommendations. We expect the feature to reach other Galaxy phones, like the Galaxy S25 Ultra, with stable One UI 8 soon.
