Bixby update to Samsung TVs brings a more natural communication
Samsung has announced an update to the Click to Search features on the 2025 smart TVs. This brings an improved Bixby version that is based on natural language processing. This will allow you to communicate with Bixby (Click to Search), be it to search for anything. Samsung notes this enables a more natural interaction experience as you can ask additional questions to get contextual information.
The Click to Search feature is accessible by pressing the Galaxy AI button on the remote. This shows all the info like ‘What’s Next’ and ‘Cast’ details in tabs. Samsung believes this is convenient to watch content without interruption, while also consuming all the information you want. The feature provides recommendations for similar content to watch.
Along with natural communication, the update makes the Click to Search feature work with broadcasting. This is in addition to cable TV and Samsung TV Plus. The announcement says that Samsung is also considering making the feature work with OTT platforms in the near future.
Availability
The new Bixby update will be available for 2025 Neo QLED, OLED, The Frame, and QLED models. The service will be available in South Korea initially and will gradually expand to more regions. It isn’t clear if this will be a server-side update or will arrive as an update to the OS or a particular app.
