Segway launches its E3 Pro electric scooter with a $100 off promo

Segway has announced the launch of its E3 Pro electric scooter today, and is celebrating the launch with an exclusive $100 off promo that saves customers money. The E3 Pro is what Segway calls its most portable, most lightweight, and most affordable third-generation electric scooter to date. The price and specs certainly reflect that.

At a retail price of $699.99, the Segway E3 Pro is considerably less than most other 3rd-gen scooters from the brand. On top of that, Segway is only charging $599.99 for a limited time. That price won’t last forever, unfortunately, and Segway doesn’t list an actual date for when that promotional price goes away. So, those interested in it may want to scoot on over to Segway’s website and scoop it up at the lower price while they can. It’s also worth noting that this promo is exclusive to Segway’s online store. Segway also makes electric bikes, including the Xyber and Xafari, which were announced at CES alongside the E3 Pro. It also announced a robot lawnmower at the same time.

The Segway E3 Pro can launch you toward your destination at 20mph

Electric scooters are no joke when it comes to speed, and the E3 Pro is no different here. It can scoot up to a maximum of 20mph, and that should have you at your destination in no time. At least, it might feel that way if you’re used to walking or cycling. 20mph also may not seem like it’s very fast. Remember, however, that 20mph is going to feel a lot faster when you’re standing on a scooter as opposed to riding in a vehicle.

The E3 Pro has a max range of 34 miles, which is honestly plenty for a mobility method like this one. Especially when you think about where you might use a scooter. It would generally be for short trips across town and back. It’s also worth noting that it has a maximum climbing slope range of 18%. So, don’t expect to take this thing up any hills that are too steep.

Additionally, the E3 Pro folds up quite nicely for easy carry and transport. It weighs about 40.1 pounds, so it’s lightweight, but also heavy enough that you’d want to put it down from time to time. Segway has ensured the scooter is equipped with safety features as well. With a 4W headlight, brake lights, and turn signals, not to mention tech like the RGB ambient lighting, you’ll be more easily seen in low-light situations.
