Apple has been reportedly working on the new iteration of the iPad and the MacBook M5. The devices, alongside the iPhone 17e, are now rumored to hit the market by early 2026. These devices will be part of the brand’s initial launch of the year.
M5 MacBook to Launch in Early 2026
Apple has already planned out its launch roadmap for the year 2026. And it is doing a slight modification to the launch timeline of one of its most popular products: the MacBook. The M4-powered MacBook was announced in October last year. Keeping the usual launch cycle in mind, the successor was supposed to launch around October this year. But Mark Gurman, a known Apple analyst, believes that it is not going to happen.
As per him, the Cupertino-based giant is pushing the launch timeline of the MacBook. The newer MacBook M5 will be announced officially in early 2026. The exact reason behind this change remains a mystery, but there’s a high probability that the brand is going this way to streamline its device launch across the year.
Apple’s iPhone 17e and upgraded iPads may launch alongside the MacBook M5
Another report claims that the upgraded iPads, an external Mac monitor, and the iPhone 17e will launch in spring next year. The entry-level iPad will have the codenames J581 and J582. Whereas the iPad Air models will have the codenames J707, J708, J737, and J738. The base variant is probably going to carry similar specifications, but with the newer A15 chipset. The high-end models may see some brief upgrades.
We can say that Apple is already prepared for the coming year. Fans can expect an exciting start to the year 2026, with the first foldable iPhone and a new low-cost MacBook being scheduled for release.
