Samsung’s stable One UI 8 update is already out with the launch of the latest foldables, the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Flip 7, and Flip 7 SE. While we don’t know when exactly the company is planning to roll out the stable One UI 8 update to older Galaxy smartphones, there’s some good news for all the power users out there. According to a new report, Samsung has reportedly updated the Good Lock modules, including Home Up and MultiStar, to support One UI 8.
Several Good Lock modules have reportedly received an update with One UI 8 support
To catch you up, Samsung introduced some big upgrades to the Good Lock modules last year. But, this year, they are getting even better. Folks over at Android Authority spotted updates for multiple Good Lock modules, like MultiStar, Home Up, NavStar, and QuickStar, which make them compatible with One UI 8.
As seen in the screenshot below, Samsung has updated the MultiStar module to version 10.0.32 with One UI 8 support. It’s worth noting that this update adds an exclusive “Launcher Widget” for the recently launched Galaxy Z Flip 7. If you already own the device, you can add app widgets to your clamshell foldable’s cover display.
This Good Lock module update also brings two new settings for all multi-window support devices. First, you have the App Screen Size Conversion setting, which offers an icon for easy switching between different screen orientations. Next up, the Portrait Mode Screen Ratio Adjustment setting allows you to switch between 16:9 and 21:9 ratios.

What’s new in updated Home Up module
Folks over at Sammy Fans spotted an update for the “Home Up” Good Lock module, bringing One UI 8 support. The update reportedly brings a bunch of new features for DIY Home Screen, including alignment guides, item grouping, and more. You also get a bunch of cool app launch animations and customize everything as per your need, after the update.
The “Home Up” Good Lock module is also getting a “Page Indicator Hiding” option for a clutter-free home screen experience. You’ll also be greeted with horizontal scrolling in the “Alphabetical Order” sorting mode, and more.

Now that these Good Lock modules have received compatibility updates, it’s time that stable One UI 8 should roll out to older Galaxy smartphones. This way, more and more power users will benefit from them. Moreover, it’s worth noting that NavStar and QuickStar modules have also received updates that make them One UI 8 compatible. However, there’s no mention of a changelog anywhere.
