The OnePlus 15 will become official in October, it seems, as expected. The information comes from Digital Chat Station, one of the most accurate tipsters from China.
The OnePlus 15 is expected to arrive in October, and that’s not a surprise at all
This is what we expected will happen, as the OnePlus 13 arrived in October last year. Do note that this is a China launch, however. The global variant of the OnePlus 13 arrived in January this year, and something similar is expected to happen with its successor.
That’s a shame, but it is what it is. Global OnePlus flagship launch comes months after the Chinese one. That was not the case in the past, as OnePlus hosted a single global event in the past.
In any case, you’ll also notice that OnePlus is skipping the OnePlus 14 name, seemingly. The company did the same with the OnePlus 4, when the company jumped from the OnePlus 3 to 5. Interestingly enough, the OnePlus Nord 4 was released.
Why is OnePlus doing this? Well, the number ‘4’ is considered to be unlucky in China. So, there you go. Based on basically every rumor we’ve seen thus far, the OnePlus 14 name will be skipped.
Quite a few other, powerful phones are set to arrive in October
With that being said, the OnePlus 15 is not the only phone that Digital Chat Station mentioned. He also said that the OPPO Find X9, Find X9 Pro, OnePlus Ace 6, Realme GT 8, and GT 8 Pro will also launch in October.
All of these devices will follow the launch of the two flagship chipsets, the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 and Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite 2.
The OnePlus 15 will, allegedly, feature a redesigned camera island on the back. It will no longer be round, OnePlus is allegedly moving to a square camera island, as is on the OnePlus 13T / OnePlus 13s.
The Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 will fuel the OnePlus 15, that much is obvious. The phone will feature top-of-the-line specs all around, as expected.
