The season of Android flagships is almost upon us, thanks to upcoming chips like the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 and Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. One among them is the Realme GT8 series, which is said to be launching in October. But before that, the alleged render image shows the camera design of the Realme GT8 Pro, which looks almost comical with its robot face-like look.
Realme GT8 Pro camera design
The Realme GT8 Pro’s render shows a square-ish module right in the center of the back panel. It houses two large circular camera lenses and a square telephoto periscope lens right below. There’s no sight of an LED flash in the image, but we’re pretty sure it’ll be there. The design, although it looks quite unusual, could be very real. The teaser image shared by Realme itself highlights a similar camera island.
Besides the design, Realme on Weibo has confirmed some key hardware specifications of the GT8 Pro. It’ll house a whopping 200MP periscope telephoto lens for the first time in a Realme phone.
Launching in October
The Realme GT8 Pro will feature a 2K screen, which is an upgrade over the 1.5K screen of the Realme GT 7 Pro. Rumors claim the phone could sport a 6.78-inch 8T LTPO AMOLED panel. It may house an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor for authentication. The Realme GT8 Pro could be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, which should mean performance gains.
The phone may have a 50MP main camera and an ultra-wide-angle lens. However, the sensor details of the latter remain in the dark, for now. It may get an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance, an X-axis linear motor, and dual 115E speakers. It is likely to boot Android 16 with Realme UI 7 on top.
The Realme GT8 Pro will supposedly launch in China in October alongside the vanilla Realme GT8. The Pro model is tipped to debut in India as well.
