The shift from Assistant to Gemini brings a far more natural, conversational experience to the big screen. You will no longer be limited to specific, rigid commands to perform actions or searches. Gemini will allow you to ask your TV complex, context-aware questions. During the setup process, users can customize their AI with a selection of ten different voice options. Who’s getting the upgrade?

The rollout remains staggered. Google previously confirmed that the feature would expand to other 2025 models from TCL and Hisense. The Google TV Streamer and Walmart onn 4K Pro streaming box will also get the upgrade.
