There\u2019s more surprises regarding the PS5 and its compatible hardware, case in point, the DualSense Edge \u2013 a PS5 Pro controller that\u2019s been rumored about since earlier this year. The DualSense Edge controller was revealed during Gamescom Opening Light Live, and then later shared by the official PlayStation Twitter account. Sony has also now shared a brief video of the controller. Pointing out a few of the major upgrades.
\nThat being said, not much has been shared about the specifics of the controller other than the design and some of the features. And although there aren\u2019t specifics on features, Sony does highlight them. It\u2019s also worth pointing out that since this is Sony\u2019s pro-style controller, it\u2019s likely to cost more.
\nSony\u2019s original DualSense is $69. And that means there is a very good chance that the cost of the DualSense Edge will be well over $100. Especially considering the cost of Microsoft\u2019s Xbox Elite controller \u2013 a souped up version of the Xbox Wireless controller with a much higher price tag.
\nThe DualSense Edge controller comes with customizable components
\nGet the edge on your opponents with the DualSense Edge. Sony is taking aim at providing players with a more technical controller equipped with advanced features. These are the kinds of controllers you want if you play competitive games like Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare II when it launches this Fall.
\nIn terms of customizations, the new DualSense Edge will have back paddles. As well as a pair of bottom-mounted buttons that appear to sit under the thumbsticks. You can also swap out the thumbstick caps, and customize the controls using an on-controller interface. Plus, the controller has trigger locks so you can adjust the level of click.
\nThis is something that the SCUF Reflex does not have. And that gives Sony an \u201cedge\u201d on the Reflex. So long as the controller can come in well under the Reflex\u2019s base cost of $199.99. Not to mention, to get the instant triggers with the Reflex, you\u2019re looking at paying $249.99. So it shouldn\u2019t be hard for Sony to make this price competitive.<\/p>\n
