The company’s European marketing chief Benjamin Braun provided the update during a press briefing at IFA 2022 in Berlin. While he didn’t share the exact sales figure, the Samsung executive said shipments of the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 “doubled those of previous models in the European market.”
The new Samsung foldables went on general sale globally on August 26 after two weeks of pre-orders. The duo arrived in 36 European countries. Like last year, the Flip model is selling in higher numbers than the Fold, thanks to its lower entry price (€999 vs. €1,799). But the enhanced productivity that the Fold brings is gradually pulling more people towards it. The ratio of Flip to Fold is said to be 6:4 this year. It was 7:3 last year.
This sky-high demand for the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Flip 4 isn’t surprising
While last year’s Fold and Flip models debuted with a lower price tag than the ones a year before, the latest Samsung foldables don’t see any price cut over their predecessors. Samsung even didn’t offer a free pair of TWS earbuds as a pre-order gift this year. On top of that, the smartphone market is staring at a slowdown due to global economic uncertainties.
But despite all the odds, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 are selling like hotcakes. Not just in Europe, but in other markets too, including Samsung’s homeland South Korea where pre-orders have broken last year’s records. And this isn’t surprising. That’s because if you’re on the market looking for a new foldable smartphone right now, it’s a no-brainer to pick one of Samsung’s latest models. They are the best foldables you can get in their respective form factor. Unless you have some specific needs, such as a bigger outer screen of Motorola’s Razr clamshell foldable, there’s no reason why you’d look beyond them.
If anything, this should be an indication of what the future holds for the foldable market. It’s been over three years since Samsung launched the original Galaxy Fold and it is still the brand globally selling these unconventional smartphones. But the market could soon get crowded as consumers are showing more interest in foldables. The Korean behemoth aims to make its Fold and Flip series devices mainstream and it appears to be on track to fulfilling that ambition.
The post Galaxy Z Fold 4 & Flip 4 Shipments Have Already Doubled In This Region appeared first on Android Headlines.

Source: ndroidheadlines.com

A week into the market, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 have already sold twice as […]

[1

post-10368","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-bez-kategorii
["GET
