You decided to tinker with the software and you’ve gone and messed up your device. Don’t worry, if you’ve done that, and you need to reinstall Android with a fresh image, the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro factory images are available to download today, according to Droid Life.
The Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro are Google’s newest flagship phones. Much like the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, these two phones both share a similar design, with the Pro model being a bit bigger. Also, these two both use Google’s in-house Tensor chips. This time around, however, the Pixel 7 phones are using Google’s second-generation tensor G2 chips. They offer some performance boosts over the last generation chips.
Both phones come with the same screen specs as last year’s phones, and the camera packages are also similar. They both use an under-display fingerprint scanner and they come with Android 13 out of the box.
The Pixel 7 Pro is experiencing a few display issues. For starters, the display seems to drain a lot of battery power compared to other phones. Also, some users are reporting scrolling issues with this phone. Hopefully, Google will address these issues and send out some fixes.
The Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro factory images are now available
Most people won’t need to download these images. However, there are those of us who love to tinker and fool around with the software on our phones. This is great, as it exemplifies the free nature of Android. However, it comes with some risks.
If you’re not careful, you could mess up the software on your phone and even brick your device. Because of this, Google released the factory images for the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro. With these, you will be able to flash a new copy of Android 13 onto your phone. This will wipe everything out and undo any damage you’ve done.
The post Bricked Your Pixel 7?
