However, what about the inside? The Pixel Watch finally got a teardown, and it reveals one difficulty with replacing the screen.
This was inevitable, as most notable new devices get a teardown at some point. iFixit performed the teardown for the Pixel Watch, and it was able to survive the whole process.
The presenter started by heating up the display to soften the adhesive. After that, she unscrewed the necessary screws to get into the device. One bummer is that in order to take off the screen, you need to disconnect the battery.
Disconnecting the battery requires heating up the adhesive and prying it out of its socket. Those aren’t really the best for battery cells. Also, once you take out a battery cell, it can be nerve-wracking to put it back in and use it again.
Something else revealed in the teardown is that the heart rate monitor is soldered to the motherboard, and the crown is held tightly to the frame. This means that these parts will most likely not be replaceable. That’s something to keep in mind if any of these parts start to go bad on you.
The Pixel Watch has a speaker on the bottom, which is neat. The speaker component itself has a grill, but the opening for the sound does not. There’s no additional mesh keeping water from getting inside the watch. This means that you will want to be careful with this watch around any bodies of water.
Overall, the Pixel Watch seems to have both good and not-so-good aspects when it comes to its internals. However, that doesn’t seem to be much of an issue. There aren’t any internal flaws causing problems for customers
If the Pixel Watch teardown got you hyped for it, you can order it now
Google officially launched the Pixel Watch just under a week ago, so you can put your order in for it now. This watch definitely got a little bit of flack over its pricing. There are two models. The cheaper Wi-Fi-only model costs $349. The more expensive data-connected watch can be hooked up with a carrier plan and that comes to $399.
You can order the Pixel Watch by going to the link below.
Buy The Pixel Watch
The post The Pixel Watch Gets its Official Teardown appeared first on Android Headlines.

Source: ndroidheadlines.com

The Pixel Watch launched not too long ago, and we’ve all been infatuated with the outside of this device.
