For some reason, it seems to stop updating at random points. However, Google has added a refresh button to the Digital Wellbeing widget to kick it when it starts slacking off.
The Digital Well-Being service is something that all smartphone owners should consider using. What this does is monitor how much you use your phone and shows you those stats.
It gives you stats on how long you’ve been using your phone since the start of the day, how many apps you used, how long you’ve used them, how many notifications you’ve gotten, and how many times you’ve unlocked your phone.
Not only does it show you relevant information, but it gives you certain tools to help you disconnect from your phone. It lets you manage notifications, enable Do Not Disturb mode, and more.
The Digital Wellbeing widget now has a refresh button
If you want to see these stats at a glance, then you can simply add the widget. However, there seems to be an issue with the widget that Google put a Band-Aid over.
For some reason, the widget would not automatically update as it’s supposed to. This means that you would not get accurate readings. So, in order to alleviate this, Google added a refresh button to the Digital Wellbeing widget. It sits on the top right corner of the widget. Simply tap it to let it update the information displayed.
It seems odd that Google is doing this rather than fixing the issue of the widget stopping. In any case, if you use the widget, and you’ve had the issue of it stopping, then at least there’s a solution.
In other Google News: We get a glimpse at the Google Assistant on the Pixel tablet
The Pixel Tablet is going to be the company’s next in-house tablet, and it’s going to launch next year. Long before its official launch, we have some screenshots of how the Google Assistant will look on this device.
When you summon the assistant, it will take up the full width of the screen. However, when you search for something, the results will sit in a little window on the right side of the screen. This means that the current app you’re using will still be accessible while reading your answer.
The post You Can Refresh The Digital Wellbeing Widget When it Slacks Off appeared first on Android Headlines.

Source: ndroidheadlines.com

If you use the Digital Wellbeing widget, then you may have witnessed a bit of an issue.
