Or maybe now that we’ve proposed the question, you might be wondering why you’d ever want to use wireless keyboards with your PS5. Sure, controlling games with the DualSense controller on your PS5 is the main way you’ll actually play games.
But the keyboard can be handy for certain games, mainly for chat or typing up messages. We’ll use Final Fantasy XIV as a good example here. While this game plays wonderfully on PS5 using the DualSense, typing up messages using the digital keyboard is slow and honestly not very enjoyable.
As any MMO player will tell you, chatting in-game with friends, clan mates etc. can go fast. So whether you’re trying to keep up with replies so your messages don’t fall behind or just like to respond quickly, using the onboard digital keyboard that you navigate with the d-pad and thumbsticks is not ideal. This is where wireless keyboards for the PS5 are extremely useful, and we’ve rounded up the best ones to consider.
Best Wireless Keyboards for PS5

Keyboard
Cost
Where To Buy
Redragon K621 Horus
$67.49
Amazon
Razer BlackWidow V3 Pro
$229.99
Best Buy
Apple Magic Keyboard
From $106.77
Amazon, B&H, Best Buy
Razer Pro Type Ultra
$159.99
Amazon, Razer, GameStop
Logitech K360
$46.14
Amazon
Razer Turret
From $249.99
Amazon, Razer, Best Buy
SteelSeries Apex Pro Mini Wireless
$173.89
Amazon, Best Buy
Logitech K780
$64.99
Amazon
Keychron K2
$79.99
Amazon
Logitech K400
$22.99
Amazon
Redragon K621 Horus

Price: $67.49
Where To Buy: Amazon
We’re going to start this list off with the Redragon K621 Horus for a couple of reasons. First, it’s a dedicated gaming keyboard with plenty of keys for everything you need, plus it’s also pretty affordable for what it is. Mostly though, we chose this keyboard and it’s first on the list because it is essentially the Logitech G915 TKL.
If you look at the two keyboards, the design is so similar you could easily mix the two of them up with just a quick glance. Normally we’d go with the Logitech here, especially since it’s our favorite gaming keyboard to date. But that one isn’t compatible with the PS5. This one from Redragon is though and since it has more or less the same design, it’s a wonderful alternative.
It has a really slim form factor along with ultra-low-profile keys. And it has everything from macros to RGB lighting. And unlike the G915 TKL, it uses backlighting on the secondary icons for each key. It also charges with USB-C instead of the atrocious micro USB option that Logitech went with for some reason. All-in-all, a great keyboard for PS5 here.
Redragon K621 Horus
Razer BlackWidow V3 Pro

Price: $229.99
Where To Buy: Best Buy
Despite the normally high price of many of its items, Razer makes some pretty damn good gaming peripherals, and the BlackWidow V3 Pro is no different. Since this is wireless you can easily use it with the PS5 and PC. Making it a versatile gaming keyboard if you play on both platforms. You can also keep the keyboard connected through Razer’s HyperSpeed wireless on PC and Bluetooth on PS5. So you can easily swap platforms just by changing the connection type.
What we really love about it is the comfy wrist rest that comes with it. This is detachable and it uses magnets so taking it off and putting it back on is super easy to do. Beyond the wrist rest, it also has a full number pad and dedicated media controls. This is also normally $230. So the $139.99 price on Amazon right now is a screaming deal.
Razer BlackWidow V3 Pro
Apple Magic Keyboard

Price: $106.77
Where To Buy: Amazon, B&H, Best Buy
It may be designed for Apple computers but it works perfectly fine with other devices. Case in point, you can use this with the PS5 and it’s a great option. It’s probably one of the slimmest keyboards on the planet which makes it ideal for storage purposes. Plus, the slim profile just looks really nice. It also has those really low-profile keys that are really easy to type on.
Granted it has the Apple-specific keys instead of the Windows ones. But that’s not a huge deal as you can still use those keys. They just have a different name. If you’re looking for a fairly decently priced super slim keyboard that’s wireless, you can’t go wrong here.
Apple Magic Keyboard
Razer Pro Type Ultra

Price: From $159.99
Where To Buy: Amazon, Razer, GameStop
Razer’s initial Pro Type keyboard was a favorite of ours and the Pro Type Ultra is simply an improved version of that initial release. With better battery life, super comfortable keys to type on, and a solid white backlighting this is a more subtle option than the Razer keyboard above.
This was also designed to be ergonomic so it puts less strain on your wrists. Which isn’t a bad thing if you plan to use this for longer periods of time while you game. Plus, this keyboard also comes with a wrist rest to use if you want a little extra comfort.
Razer Pro Type Ultra
Logitech K360

Price: $46.14
Where To Buy: Amazon
For a simple wireless keyboard that won’t cost a lot, it’s hard to do better than the Logitech K360. It’s compact which makes it easy for storage and is super comfortable to type on. The only downside is that this keyboard doesn’t have Bluetooth compatibility. Which means you will need to connect the USB dongle to connect the keyboard wirelessly and that will take up one of the PS5’s USB ports.
Still this is one of the best wireless keyboards for PS5 that you can get. Because it’s affordable, simple, and it works. So if you don’t need anything special, this is a great option.
Logitech K360
Razer Turret

Price: $249.99
Where To Buy: Amazon, Razer, Best Buy
The Razer Turret us a spendy keyboard but, if you have your PS5 hooked up to your TV in the living room, then there’s few options that might be better than the Turret making this one of the best wireless keyboards for PS5. Quite simply because it’s a lapboard. So it’ll mor comfortably sit in your lap for use. It also comes with its own fold out mouse pad and mouse, so if you do plan to use a mouse and keyboard to play games, this makes it much simpler.
Now, this is another 2.4GHz wireless connection option so you’ll need to use one of the USB ports on the PS5 if you go with this keyboard.
Razer Turret
SteelSeries Apex Pro Mini Wireless

Price: $173.89
Where To Buy: Amazon, Best Buy
This is another pretty expensive option but it is a newer keyboard and it comes with some of SteelSeries’ latest tech. Like OmniPoint adjustable actuation switches. Granted, that’s a feature you’ll probably only be able to use for PC. But then that’s more of a reason to only consider this keyboard if you want something you can use with PC and PS5.
It’s also a 60% keyboard which makes it great for storage next to your console or your PC desk. Wherever you decide to keep it when not in use.
You can connect this with a 2.4GHz wireless connection or through Bluetooth. So you can keep the dongle plugged into the PC then use Bluetooth to connect to the PS5. It also features RGB backlighting for the keys and it’s made from aluminum alloy so it should be pretty durable. Though we still don’t recommend trying to test its durability.
SteelSeries Apex Pro Mini Wireless
Logitech K780

Price: $64.99
Where To Buy: Amazon
This isn’t too different from the K300 though there are some notable improvements. For instance, the K780 has a nice lip across the top edge that you can slot other devices into. Sort of like a stand. Which works out great for a place to set your phone down while you’re not using it.
Now keep in mind the keys on this aren’t backlit here either. So It may not be the best keyboard if you tend to play PS5 in total darkness. But as long as you have a little light around to see the keys then you’re golden.
Logitech K780
Keychron K2

Price: $79.99
Where To Buy: Amazon
At one point we were using this as our main mechanical keyboard for daily use. And we loved it then and still love it now. In fact it’s precisely the keyboard currently being used for our PS5 typing needs. Now, that’s partially due to the fact that we already have this and it works, and don’t see the need to update to a new keyboard and spend that money.
This is a mechanical keyboard with RGB lighting, and it’s wirelessly compatible with Windows, Mac, Android, iOS, PS4, PS5 and more. It also charges via USB-C which is always appreciated. And it can even be used in a wired mode if you want to conserve the battery.
At $80, this is a pretty good option thanks to its versatility.
Keychron K2
Logitech K400

Price: $22.99
Where To Buy: Amazon
Rounding out this list is the cheapest option on here. So if you’re really trying to pick up the bare minimum in terms of cost and features, this is a pretty awesome keyboard for the price. Especially if you’re only planning on using it for chatting in-game or through PS Messages with friends.
The nice thing is it has a mini touchpad along with a left and right click similar to a mouse. This also uses replaceable batteries instead of a rechargeable one. So when the batteries die, which Logitech says takes about a year, you’ll just flip a new pair in. Need some basic? Go with this.
Logitech K400
The post Best Wireless Keyboards For PS5 – February 2023 appeared first on Android Headlines.

Source: ndroidheadlines.com

What are the best wireless keyboards for PS5 you might be wondering?
