Microsoft is launching two new colors of its Xbox Elite Series 2 Core controller, which previously only came in white. Now, the controller can be picked up in either red or blue. Microsoft officially announced the new controller color options on its Xbox Wire blog. But the tweet put out on the company\u2019s official Twitter account is a much more exciting reveal.
\nIt definitely feels very much inspired by anime and comics, pitting the two controller colors against each other in an animated battle. It\u2019s a neat little video to announce the new colors for the Xbox Elite Series 2 Core controller. And Microsoft should do this with more of its products.<\/p>\n

New Xbox Elite Series 2 Core colors are up for pre-order
\nLooking for a new controller? The Elite Series 2 Core might be just what you\u2019re wanting. But if you like these two new colors better than the white option, you can\u2019t buy either one just yet.
\nYou can however pre-order them and they should ship on or by April 10, as the controller officially launches on April 11. The controller will be available for $139.99 so it costs a bit more than the white model. Normally only by $10, but Microsoft currently has the white Elite Series 2 Core on sale for $109.99. Amazon is matching that price too. If you do like this controller but don\u2019t care about the color, save yourself a few bucks and go with the white model.
\nThe main difference between the Core controller and the non-Core controller is some of the extras. The Elite Series 2 Core for instance doesn\u2019t come with the back paddles, the additional thumbsticks or d-pad, or the carrying case. You can however get all those things for the Core controller in a separate bundle if you want them.
