As powerful as it is, Google constantly finds ways of one-upping itself. Case and point, Google Photos may soon let you search using complex search queries, according to 9To5Google.
You can already use Google Photos to search your library using simple search queries. You can use queries like flowers, trees, water, cars, and so on. These really help you out a lot when you’re looking through your photos, but people with a ton of photos on their account may want to have a more comprehensive search experience.
Google may let you use complex search queries in Photos
It appears to be rolling out to a limited number of people, so there’s a chance that you won’t see it. Also, this may only be available for Google Photos for desktop at the moment.
When you enter Google Photos, there’s a chance that you will see a little popup under the search bar reading “Try a more powerful search.” If you see it, you’ll be able to use a more natural-sounding language when you’re searching your library.
For example, you can already search queries such as “sunset” and “garden.” However, you’ll be able to add adjectives to them, and the AI should be able to understand them. So, you can use phrases such as “colorful sunset” or “peaceful garden.” So, if you have a specific photo that you want to find, you’ll better describe it in order to narrow down your search.
Also, you have the ability to search for specific people at certain locations. For example, you’ll be able to search “Cindy in the garden”, or “Alfred in front of the Eiffel Tower.” This will only work if the people you’re referring to have been tagged.
While some people are already seeing this, there could be a chance that Google will elaborate on this during Google I/O. The event is happening on Wednesday, May 10th, so mark your calendars.
The post Google Photos will let you search with more complex queries appeared first on Android Headlines.

Source: ndroidheadlines.com

We all know that Google’s artificial intelligence is pretty insane, and that prowess makes its way to Google Photos.
