The report showed that Apple’s iPhone base models are best-sellers yet again. The base iPhone model takes up a 42% share of Apple’s iPhone sales. This is huge considering it’s the third year in a row as reported by CIRP.
The base iPhone is the people’s choice according to the report
Since the first Pro iPhone launched in 2019, Apple had high hopes for its most premium phone model. However, if you look at the last three years of sales reports from CIRP, you will be surprised to see that the base iPhone is hogging up to 46% of the market share, making it the highest-selling iPhone model of the bunch. Even in this year’s report, base iPhone models are the best-sellers in the entire available lineup with a 42% market share.
Apple sells both old and new versions of its base iPhone models. However, it only sells the newest versions of its Pro and Pro Max models. The Pro Max model is the most popular single iPhone model, accounting for 26% of all iPhone sales. But when you combine all the basic iPhone models together, collectively they sell more than the Pro Max.
Third in the queue, with a 19% market share, are the Pro model iPhones. The “Regular Pro”, as some like to call it, has all the same features as the Pro Max iPhones. However, it’s the same size as the base iPhone model. It caters to the folks who don’t have pockets to fit in the large Pro Max models but want to have all the pro goodies.
The last in the bunch is the plus-sized iPhone model with just a 13% market share. The Plus-sized iPhone recently replaced the iPhone Mini. Not only that but it also ate some of the base iPhone’s market share. The Plus iPhones come with the display size of the Pro models but have the hardware of regular base models under the hood with a tad bit larger battery.
There are also some rumors floating around that Apple might release an Air model with the iPhone 17 lineup. This model is said to feature diluted Pro model features in the footprint of the Plus model iPhone. If the rumors are true, then it’ll be more interesting to see next year’s report from CIRP with a more populated iPhone lineup.

The post Base iPhone models are the best-sellers yet again! appeared first on Android Headlines.

Source: ndroidheadlines.com

Consumer Intelligence Research Partners (CIRP) has released this year’s Apple iPhone sales report.
