Spotify\u2019s 2024 Wrapped is out globally allowing millions of users to see their most-played songs and artists from this year. The company annually releases Wrapped as the year\u2019s listening stats into custom playlists. But, Spotify is adding a sprinkle of AI this year to enhance users\u2019 Wrapped experience.

\nSpotify and Google Labs have come together this year to offer personalized AI podcasts about users\u2019 music listening histories. The new feature uses Google\u2019s NotebookLM tool to bring two AI-generated hosts that discuss your 2024 Wrapped in a podcast format. The audio streaming giant names this time-limited feature the \u201cWrapped AI Podcast.\u201d
\nIt\u2019s worth noting that the podcasts will feature the same voices you currently hear when using the Audio Overviews feature. The new Wrapped AI Podcast is currently available to users in the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, Sweden, and the UK.
\nYou can expect to listen to three to six minutes of an AI-generated discussion about your taste in music. Spotify\u2019s Senior Director of Product for Personalization, Molly Holder, says that the Wrapped AI Podcast retains the titles of potentially offensive songs. However, she confirms that the AI-generated voice won\u2019t use inappropriate language.
\nIf you are a Spotify user from the specified countries, you\u2019ll see the Wrapped AI Podcast on the app\u2019s home page in the Wrapped feed. Alternatively, you can use the Search tab to find your Wrapped AI Podcast. Spotify is also letting you share and download your personalized podcast.<\/p>\n
There are a few surprises for Premium subscribers
\nThis isn\u2019t the first time Spotify has infused AI into the platform. Earlier this year, the company introduced the AI DJ and AI Playlist features for Premium subscribers. Now, Spotify is letting users with access to DJ AI enjoy a new feature called the DJ: Wrapped in beta.
\nIf you have access to the AI Playlist, you narrow down the 2024 Wrapped with various prompts. It could be like, \u201ca playlist of the romantic songs I heard the most in 2024.\u201d That said, the standard Wrapped playlist and experience are available for non-premium users irrespective of where they live.
\nSpotify has been treating its users with new features lately. More recently, the company added a new Recents tab that lets users access their 90-day listening history. Google has also recently rolled out the Gemini Extension for Spotify on Android to help user search for their favorite music with the help of AI.<\/p>\n
