The device, tentatively known as the iPhone SE 4, will modernize the design of a series that has relied on an outdated look and feel for some time. A new report confirms previous leaks regarding the iPhone SE 4’s camera system, adding a few additional details.
The iPhone SE 4 could have the same main rear camera as the iPhone 16
According to reliable tipsters, the iPhone SE 4 will feature a single 48MP rear camera. The latest ET News report, citing internal sources at LG Innotek, backs up this claim. Some sources suggest that Apple will implement the same main camera as the iPhone 16. In other words, the more affordable iPhone could have a 48MP rear sensor with an f/1.6 aperture and a 1/1.56″ size. On the iPhone 16, Apple says that the sensor supports 2x lossless zoom, so it’s possible that the iPhone SE 4 will receive that feature as well.
However, the next-gen iPhone SE will lack the ultra-wide rear sensor from the vanilla iPhone 16. Moving on to the front, the device could also inherit the front-facing camera from the iPhone 16. The report claims that the iPhone SE 4 will feature a 12MP TrueDepth front sensor and additional hardware that will enable Face ID support. The new design of the device, where the chunky top and bottom bezels will say goodbye, makes the inclusion of Face ID mandatory since there is no room for the Touch ID button.
Apple will modernize the design in the series
In terms of design, the device could sport a very similar front to that of the iPhone XR. Apple will implement a notch instead of the Dynamic Island of the latest iPhone models. However, the company could reduce the thickness of the notch and the frames around the screen a little. An important improvement compared to previous iPhone SE models is the inclusion of an OLED screen.
Interestingly, the affordable device could be more future-proof than last year’s vanilla and Plus iPhone 15. The Cupertino giant could provide it with full support for Apple’s Intelligence features thanks to 8 GB of RAM. Some rumors suggest that the firm will replace the mute switch with the Action Button from the iPhone 16 series. Plus, Apple will debut its first 5G modem in the iPhone SE 4.
Lastly, recent leaks claim that Apple will launch the device sometime in March 2025.
The post iPhone SE 4 tipped to inherit iPhone 16’s main & front cameras appeared first on Android Headlines.

Source: ndroidheadlines.com

Apple is expected to launch its next-gen most affordable iPhone in 2025.
