In a recent development, after much effort, the South Korean giant has finally managed to stabilize its 3nm production process. Moreover, Samsung will implement the Exynos 2500 processor in the Galaxy Z Flip 7.
Exynos 2500 will be the processor of the Galaxy Z Flip 7, Samsung confirms
Previous reports already mentioned that, after failing to implement the 3nm Exynos 2500 chip in the Galaxy S25 series, Samsung was aiming to use it in its next-gen foldable phones. Now, a high-ranking Samsung Electronics official has confirmed the information in an official statement. “It seems that it will be difficult to install it in the Galaxy S25 series because it is not available in quantity, but it will be possible to install it in the premium model of the Z Flip series,” he said (translated from Korean).
Since the representative specifically mentioned the “premium model of the Z Flip series,” it’s possible that the company plans to integrate another chip into the Galaxy Z Flip FE. According to reports, the latter will be Samsung’s most affordable foldable phone by 2025. The Samsung executive’s statement is in line with previous leaks that claimed the FE model will use the 4nm Exynos 2400e chip. This is the same hardware that powers the Galaxy S24 FE.
Snapdragon hardware for the Galaxy Z Fold 7?
It’s interesting that the statement refers only to the Galaxy Z Flip series. This paves the way for the company to partner with Qualcomm on the Galaxy Z Fold 7. The Galaxy S lineup employs a similar strategy, with the most premium “Ultra” model using Snapdragon chips worldwide. Anyway, this is just speculation for now. Indeed, prior leaks suggested that the Exynos 2500 chip will also power the Z Fold 7.
Samsung finally stabilized its 3nm process
Samsung has received one of the best pieces of news for its chip business before the end of 2024. The company’s top executive also revealed that the Samsung Foundry division managed to stabilize its 3nm GAA wafers. This means that the yield rate of the factories has already reached sufficient levels to make mass production of 3nm chips commercially viable.
Unfortunately, Samsung was unable to implement the chip in time for the Galaxy S25 series. Now, the company’s next step should be to focus on optimizing hardware performance. Recently leaked benchmarks showed disappointing results. It will be key for the firm to close the current power gap between the Exynos 2500 and its direct competitors so as not to disappoint their customers.
The post Samsung just confirmed the Galaxy Z Flip 7 processor appeared first on Android Headlines.

Source: ndroidheadlines.com

While Samsung’s semiconductor division is currently in the midst of a crisis, the company has been working hard to normalize […]

[1

post-14313","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-bez-kategorii
["GET
