These are the two best camera smartphones from OPPO, and amongst the best camera smartphones in the market in general. There are quite a few differences between them. Despite the fact the Find X8 Pro belongs to a new generation for OPPO, the Find X7 Ultra is still more than a worthy competitor, and some may even say its camera setup looks better on paper. Is it better in general? Well, we’ll talk about that.
We will first list the specifications of both smartphones and will then move to compare them across a number of other categories. We will be comparing their designs, displays, performance, battery life, cameras, and audio output. Before we begin, do note that the Find X7 Ultra was not released globally. There is a lot to talk about here, so let’s get to it.
Specs
OPPO Find X7 Ultra vs OPPO Find X8 Pro, respectively
– Screen size:
6.82-inch LTPO AMOLED display (curved, 120Hz LTPO, HDR10+, 4,500 nits)
6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED (micro quad-curved aka flat, 120Hz, 4,500 nits max)
– Display resolution:
3168 x 1440
2780 x 1264
– SoC:
Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3
MediaTek Dimensity 9400
– RAM:
12GB/16GB (LPDDR5X)
12GB/16GB (LPDDR5X)
– Storage:
256GB/512GB (UFS 4.0)
256GB/512GB/1TB (UFS 4.0)
– Rear cameras:
50MP (f/1.8 aperture, 1-inch sensor, 1.6um pixel size, OIS), 50MP (ultrawide, f/2.0 aperture, 123-degree FoV), 50MP (periscope telephoto, 3x optical zoom, f/2.6 aperture, OIS), 50MP (periscope telephoto, 6x optical zoom, f/4.3, OIS)
50MP (f/1.6 aperture, 1/1.4-inch sensor size, 1.12um pixel size, OIS, PDAF), 50MP (ultrawide, f/2.0 aperture, 1/2.75-inch sensor size, PDAF), 50MP (periscope telephoto, 3x optical zoom, f/2.6 aperture, 1/1.95-inch sensor size, OIS, PDAF), 50MP (periscope telephoto, 6x optical zoom, 1/2.51-inch sensor size, OIS, 0.7um pixel size)
– Front cameras:
32MP (f/2.4 aperture, 0.8um pixel size)
32MP (f/2.4 aperture, 1/2.74-inch sensor size, 0.8um pixel size)
– Battery:
5,000mAh
5,910mAh
– Charging:
100W wired, 50W wireless, reverse wireless (charger included)
80W wired, 50W wireless, 10W reverse wireless (charger included)
– Dimensions:
164.3 x 76.2 x 9.5mm
162.3 x 76.7 x 8.2 mm
– Weight:
221 grams
215 grams
– Connectivity:
5G, LTE, NFC, Wi-Fi, USB Type-C, Bluetooth 5.4
– Security:
In-display fingerprint scanner (ultrasonic) & facial scanning
In-display fingerprint scanner (ultrasonic) & facial scanning
– OS:
Android 14 with ColorOS 14
Android 15 with ColorOS 15
– Price:
CNY5,999 ($843, China only)
N/A
– Buy:
OPPO Find X7 Ultra (China only)
N/A
OPPO Find X7 Ultra vs OPPO Find X8 Pro: Design
At first, it may seem like the two phones are quite similar design-wise, but that’s not exactly accurate. There are a lot of differences here. The OPPO Find X8 Pro has a curved display, and a proportionally curved backplate, with a centered display camera hole. The OPPO Find X8 Pro also has a centered display camera hole, but the rest is different. Its front is quad micro-curved, in other words, the glass on top of the display is slightly rounded on all four sides, while the display itself is flat. The glass on the back is proportional to it.
Speaking of the back, the OPPO Find X7 Ultra either comes in a glass back, or a combo between vegan leather and glass, a two-tone design. The OPPO Find X8 Pro has glass on the back, there’s no other variant. The OPPO Find X8 Pro has flat sides all around, while the OPPO Find X7 Ultra does not, plus the frame is much thinner on the sides. Both smartphones have their power/lock and volume up and down buttons on the right-hand side. The Find X8 Pro even has a camera shutter key on that side. You’ll find the alert slider on the left-hand side of both devices.
You’ll spot rather notable camera oreos on the back of both phones. The one on the Find X7 Ultra is bigger, and it’s also thicker in comparison, notably thicker. Both smartphones do include four 50-megapixel cameras on the back, but they’re not the same. Hasselblad is a part of the package on both sides. The LED flash on the back sits in the same place on both phones, in the top-left corner.
The OPPO Find X7 Ultra is IP68 certified for water and dust resistance. The Find X8 Pro, on the flip side, comes with both IP68 and IP69 certifications. The ‘Ultra’ model does have a slightly larger display, and it’s slightly taller and thicker, but also slightly narrower. That model is also 6 grams thicker than its cousin. The two-tone variant of the OPPO Find X7 Ultra is less slippery than the Find X8 Pro, in case you’re wondering. Both smartphones feel like premium pieces of tech, that’s for sure.
OPPO Find X7 Ultra vs OPPO Find X8 Pro: Display
There is a 6.82-inch 3168 x 1440 LTPO AMOLED display included on the OPPO Find X7 Ultra. That panel is curved, and it offers an adaptive refresh rate from 1 to 120Hz. It can project up to 1 billion colors, and Dolby Vision is also supported. The same goes for HDR10+ content. The peak brightness here is 4,500 nits, while the screen-to-body ratio is at around 90%. The Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protects this panel.
OPPO Find X8 Pro
The OPPO Find X8 Pro, on the other hand, has a 6.78-inch 2780 x 1264 LTPO AMOLED display. That display is flat, while it can project up to 1 billion colors. Its refresh rate can jump between 1 and 120Hz as needed, and both Dolby Vision and HDR10+ content is supported here. The peak brightness on this display is 4,500 nits, while the screen-to-body ratio is at around 90%. The Gorilla Glass 7i protects this panel.
Both of these displays are outstanding. They’re not only very sharp and vivid, but they offer great viewing angles too. The blacks are as deep as you’d expect them to be when it comes to high-end OLED displays. The touch response is also good, and both panels support high-frequency PWM dimming and are trying to protect your eyes. Both of them also get more than bright enough when you need them to. You can’t go wrong with either one, in all honesty. Just note that one is curved, and the other is not.
OPPO Find X7 Ultra vs OPPO Find X8 Pro: Performance
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC from Qualcomm is a 4nm chip that fuels the OPPO Find X7 Ultra. OPPO also included up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM here and UFS 4.0 flash storage too. The OPPO Find X8 Pro is fueled by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 processor, a 3nm chip from MediaTek, the company’s most powerful one. That phone also comes with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 flash storage. Neither phone supports storage expansion.
Yes, the OPPO Find X8 Pro is technically the more powerful smartphone. It has a more powerful chip. However, during day-to-day use, you will never know the difference. Both of these smartphones are immensely fast, and lag is simply not a part of the equation. It is worth noting that the OPPO Find X7 Ultra comes with software made for China only, and even though you can pre-install Google services, there are some limitations that are not present on the FInd X8 Pro’s global software. Limitations such as the number of apps that can send you push notifications.
When it comes to gaming, both of these smartphones deliver, with ease. You can run pretty much any game from the Google Play Store on these phones and do it really well. Yes, they’ll both get quite warm during longer gameplay, especially with graphically intensive games, but neither phone will overheat, at least it did not for us. They were not even close to doing so.
OPPO Find X7 Ultra vs OPPO Find X8 Pro: Battery
The OPPO Find X7 Ultra includes a 5,000mAh battery, while the Find X8 Pro comes with a 5,910mAh silicon-carbon battery. Yes, the difference in battery capacity here is quite considerable, and yes the OPPO Find X8 Pro does offer notably better battery life. In fact, it’s one of the best high-end smartphones we’ve used in regards to battery life. We managed to get over 12 hours of screen-on-time during our trip to Bali, and other days did not really disappoint either, not even close.
The OPPO Find X7 Ultra can still provide great battery life, though. Getting over the 7-hour screen-on-time was not a problem for us, at times we managed to go over the 8-hour mark. That pales in comparison to what the Find X8 Pro delivers, however. In direct comparison, the OPPO Find X8 Pro has around 30-35% better battery life, we’d say. That’s based on our usage of both smartphones, you mileage may vary, though, of course.
Both of these phones do offer immensely fast charging. The OPPO Find X7 Ultra supports 100W wired, 50W wireless, and 10W reverse wireless charging. The Find X8 Pro, on the flip side, supports 80W wired, 50W wireless, and 10W reverse wireless charging. The Find X8 Ultra will fully charge in under half an hour, while it will take a bit longer for the Find X8 Pro to reach full charge. Both of these phones also include a charging cable in the box.
OPPO Find X7 Ultra vs OPPO Find X8 Pro: Cameras
You will find four 50-megapixel cameras on the backs of both phones, but all cameras are different… but one. The second periscope telephoto camera is the same on both phones, a 50-megapixel unit with a 1/2.51-inch sensor, and 6x optical zoom. That is also one of the two periscope telephoto cameras you’ll use for macro photography. All the other cameras are different in comparison.
OPPO Find X7 Ultra
The OPPO Find X7 Ultra has a 50-megapixel main camera with a 1-inch type sensor. The OPPO Find X8 Pro includes a 50-megapixel main camera with a 1/1.4-inch type sensor. It has a wider aperture on its lens than the Find X7 Ultra, however. A 50-megapixel ultrawide camera with a 1/1.95-inch sensor sits on the Find X7 Ultra, while the Find X8 Pro has a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera with a 1/2.75-inch sensor.
The last camera on both of these two smartphones is one of the periscope telephoto cameras, the one that is not identical on both phones. The Find X7 Ultra has a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera with a 1/1.56-inch sensor and 2.8x optical zoom. The Find X8 Pro’s has a 1/1.95-inch sensor and 3x optical zoom. On paper, it sure seems like the Find X7 Ultra has a more powerful camera setup.
Is that the case in practice too? Well, these two smartphones are very close in terms of the quality of images they can provide. The OPPO Find X8 Pro does have this great camera feature in the form of zero shutter lag. That allows you to capture fast-moving objects without a problem. The Find X7 Ultra does provide a truly fast shutter speed too, but it’s not the same, actually. On the flip side, the Find X7 Ultra does have better camera sensors overall, and if you pixel-peep, you will notice the difference. Both smartphones do an amazing job. They provide detailed images that are also vivid.
They have spot-on shadows, and the colors are outstanding on both smartphones. All four cameras do a great job of keeping the balance in regard to color profiles. They’re both great in low-light too, though once again, if you pixel-peep, the Find X7 Ultra does have the edge. The OPPO Find X8 Ultra is right around the corner, though.
Audio
Both of these smartphones have stereo speakers, and even though the sound output is a bit different, both setups are great. The sound quality is good, and both setups are more than loud enough, and on the same playing field in that regard.
What is not included on either phone is an audio jack. You can use their Type-C ports to connect your wired headphones, however. Both smartphones also support Bluetooth 5.4, so there’s that… for wireless audio connectivity.
The post Phone Comparisons: OPPO Find X7 Ultra vs OPPO Find X8 Pro appeared first on Android Headlines.

Source: ndroidheadlines.com

This time around, we’ll be comparing two phones from the same company, the OPPO Find X7 Ultra vs OPPO Find […]

[1

post-14569","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-bez-kategorii
["GET
