We’ve been waiting for that device’s successor, but according to some new leaks, that wait will be worth it. As per the reports, it looks like the OnePlus Open 2 will challenge the HONOR Magic V3 in terms of thinness.
Last year, we got the thinnest foldable phone on the market. HONOR, formerly known as the Huawei sub-brand churning out affordable phones, released the Honor Magic V3. This phone, when folded, measured just over 9mm. That’s pretty insane, as that’s pretty much in regular slab phone thickness territory. That’s the goal of all foldable phone makers, and HONOR smashed it.
But, the OnePlus Open 2 could challenge the HONOR Magic V3 in terms of thinness
Of course, you’ll want to take these leaks with a grain of salt. We’re still dealing with early information about this phone. This news actually comes from a pair of leakers.
Firstly, we have Smart Pikachu on Weibo. This leak doesn’t give us information about the OnePlus Open 2 directly. However, it provides information about the Oppo Find N5. In case you don’t know, OnePlus typically rebrands Oppo devices and sells them under its own name. This was the case with the First OnePlus Open.
So, it looks like the Oppo Find N5 will have a triple-camera setup with the Hasselblad branding, a periscopic zoom camera, satellite communication, a Snapdragon 8 (the post refers to it as the “Extreme” edition, but we’re guessing that it means the “Elite”), a nearly 6,000mAh battery, thinner body, and wireless charging. If this phone has these capabilities, then we know that it’s going to be a beast. As such, we should expect the OnePlus Open 2 to be equally as capable.

As for the next leak, this one comes from legendary leaker Digital Chat Station. Again, it’s a Weibo post. This one reads, “I touched the new generation of large folding Find N5 from Green Factory. The body is the thinnest in the world and titanium is used.”

Those are some pretty bold words. That’s considering the fact that HONOR put every other foldable phone to shame in terms of thinness. If the OnePlus Open is thinner, then it will hopefully lead other companies to follow suit.
Aside from being thin, it looks like the OnePlus Open 2 will be a fantastic phone. The first OnePlus Open was a home run from the company, and that says a lot since it was the company’s first foldable.
The post The OnePlus Open 2 may be thinner than the HONOR Magic V3 appeared first on Android Headlines.

Source: ndroidheadlines.com

Even though it’s over a year old at this point, the OnePlus Open is still a fan favorite among foldable […]

[1

post-14720","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-bez-kategorii
["GET
