In fact, in just a few days, on January 19th, the app could face a ban in the U.S. Several of the millions of people who use the app have decided to find other platforms to get their content out. More than half a million TikTokers flocked to an app called RedNote.<br \/>\nIf you\u2019ve never heard of this app, don\u2019t feel bad. It\u2019s a Chinese app, so many people in the States might not have heard of it. Be that as it may, the app has been around since 2013. It\u2019s primarily a social media platform with a mixture of elements from Pinterest and Instagram. There\u2019s a video element to the app, which is why TikTokers see the potential in it.<br \/>\nTikTokers could make RedNote their new favorite app<br \/>\nWhile many people will roll their eyes at the folks petitioning to keep TikTok in the States, the platform has become a source of information for many as well as a source of income. So, it\u2019s no surprise that people are not happy about this.<br \/>\nBecause of the potential ban, RedNote, called Xiaohongshu in China, saw a surge in traffic and downloads from U.S.-based users looking to find their post-TikTok refuge. In fact, Rednote gained more than 700,000 new users in just the past two days. We expect that number to continue to rise as Judgement Day approaches.<br \/>\nNot only that, but RedNote app downloads tripled year-over-year, and most of those downloads came from just last week. That\u2019s a pretty huge jump in a short amount of time. However, this is similar to the kind of thing that we saw with people leaving X (formerly Twitter) in lieu of Bluesky.<br \/>\nThe only thing is that there\u2019s no telling if RedNote will be able to satisfy the people looking to continue their careers. TikTok awards millions of dollars to people, and many people can use this money to sustain themselves. We can only imagine how many Teslas and Lamborghinis have been purchased with TikTok money!<br \/>\nHowever, we have no idea if RedNote will be able to distribute a livable wage to content creators. Only time will tell what will happen with those people.<br \/>\nTikTok\u2019s 9-month second wind<br \/>\nThere may still be hope for TikTokers, the ban could have a 270-day delay.
