Fitbit rolls out regular updates to its application for the Pixel watches from time to time. It has now rolled out another update for the Fitbit Wear OS app on the Pixel Watch series.
\nFitbit app for the Pixel Watch has received a minor update
\nUsers of the Pixel Watch have received a notification to update the Fitbit app on their smartwatches. They are getting a new \u201cUpdate available\u201d notification. Owners can \u201cTap to start the update\u201d option, which opens the app listing in the on-device Play Store. The size of the update is 3.8MB. Your device\u2019s firmware build will go from version 3.25 to version 3.27 after the update.
\nSadly, the latest update for the Fitbit app for the Pixel Watch doesn\u2019t bring any significant new features. There aren\u2019t any changes to the wearable\u2019s Today, Exercise, or Relax apps\/experiences features. Also, the Tiles and complications options are the same when the device restarts after the update installs. As first reported by 9to5Google, the update doesn\u2019t bring the Cardio load and Readiness cards to a Pixel Watch 2.
\nPixel Watch\u2019s next software update won\u2019t arrive before March 2025
\nJust to remind you, the Pixel Watch series\u2019 next update will not arrive until March 2025. Earlier, Google used to release monthly updates to its smartwatches. However, they haven\u2019t received any updates after the November 2024 update. Google\u2019s decision to delay the updates for the Pixel watches is part of a larger strategy to better allocate engineering resources.
\nGoogle might also be aiming to offer more substantial updates every quarter with major new features. It\u2019s worth mentioning that the three-month gap in updates doesn\u2019t have any major impact on the end user experience.
