Now, the world is waiting for Samsung’s tri-folding phone, as rumors suggested the company was working on one. According to a report, Samsung is working on a tri-folding phone, and it will launch it in 2025.
Huawei hijacked the internet when it launched the Mate XT, the first tri-folding phone readily available. It’s a technical feat that only a large tech company like Huawei could pull off, and it pulled it off well. While extremely expensive (nearly $3K), the Mate XT was still able to turn some serious heads.
Now, the ball is in Samsung’s court, as the company is looking to make up for a disappointing year for the Galaxy Z foldables. It’s hoping that it can rekindle the fire that’s been dying out over the years.
Samsung could launch its tri-folding phone in 2025
Designing a tri-fold device seems to be the logical next step for Samsung, as it’s pretty much monopolized the foldable phone market. Notable leaker Jukanlosreve made a post on X.com about Samsung’s foldable strategy for the year, citing a video from Korean news company The Elec.

In the post, we see that the company will launch a whopping four foldable phones this year. We all know to expect the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7. Along with that, Samsung could launch the Galaxy Z Flip FE, which should be close competition for phones like the Tecno Phantom Flip 2, base Motorola Razr, and Nubia Flip 2.
Lastly, the post simply says “Triple fold”. Jukanlosreve also gave us some information on this device. This is information you should take with a grain of salt.
The leak states that component production will begin in Q2 this year, and we should expect a Q3 launch. Given Samsung’s late-year launch schedules over the years, we expect the company’s second Unpacked event to happen sometime in July. If the company will start component production in Q2, then a July launch would be cutting it close. So, there’s a chance that the Tri-fold phone might launch later than the other foldables.
Samsung plans to produce 200,000 units of this phone, which is a pretty high number. Lastly, the Tri-fold could have a screen size between 9.9 inches and 10 inches when fully unfolded. This almost puts it in Galaxy Tab territory.
At this point, we don’t know any information about the price, but don’t expect it to be cheap by any means.
The post Samsung could launch its tri-folding phone this year appeared first on Android Headlines.

Source: ndroidheadlines.com

While it bombed the JerryRigEverything durability test, the Huawei Mate XT was a technical marvel.
