Of course, you don’t! But, that hasn’t stopped a talented developer from giving you a reason to. A Redditor was able to port Minecraft over to their Galaxy Watch 4.
Stories like these, while remarkable, aren’t super uncommon. There are tons of people out there who can port games and entire operating systems over to devices that don’t support them. One example is the Redditor who was able to install a PSP emulator over to their Galaxy Watch 5 and play games like God of War: Chains of Olympus. So, our smartwatches are much more powerful than we may think.
A person ported Minecraft over to their Galaxy Watch 4
This is a pretty impressive feat, as the Galaxy Watch 4 is a couple of years old. It runs the Samsung-made Exynos W920, which the company released in 2021. So, it’s not exactly a Snapdragon 8 Elite. In any case, U/International-dish78 was able to get Minecraft to run on their Galaxy Watch 4.
It’s important to note that this is the Pocket Edition, so it’s not the most graphically intensive or code-version. Still, it’s impressive. The user posted a video showing their work. The entire video was sped up at certain points to a minute and a half, but doing the math, it took north of 10 minutes to actually get into the game.
As you can guess, the interface was not designed to run on a watch screen. The joystick takes up about 20% of the screen, the inventory is cut off, and you can only see a couple of the buttons. Essentially, don’t leave your Steam Deck at home. This was more of an experiment to see if it could be done.
When Samsung was designing this watch, it didn’t have running open-world games in mind. So, the fact that someone was able to get it to run on a smartwatch is impressive. It only makes us excited about what other fun and interesting projects people will embark on.
The post Come see someone play Minecraft on their Galaxy Watch 4! appeared first on Android Headlines.

Source: ndroidheadlines.com

Don’t you love the feeling of getting off from a long day of work, kicking back, and playing some games […]

[1

post-15027","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-bez-kategorii
["GET
