It also has many fact-checking organizations and other civil society groups from all over the world. \nIn response to the letter from the coalition group of civil society, Meta\u2019s Oversight Board said that it remains committed to its work. Meta\u2019s Oversight Board\u2019s five co-chairs said that they have been \u201cclosely assessing Meta\u2019s policy changes\u201d and plan to put forward \u201cnuanced policy recommendations that Meta must respond to\u201d.
\nThe board also said its work \u201cspeaks for itself\u201d, and Meta has implemented more than 70% of its recommendations over the years. Unfortunately, the company declined to comment on a request by The Washington Post regarding the open letter from the coalition of civil society groups and fact-checking organizations.
