For example, popular subreddits like r\/WallStreetBets or r\/3DPrinting might make use of paywalls to provide premium tutorials to paid subscribers.<br \/>\nHowever, there also are some drawbacks to the new approach. This move risks alienating long-time Reddit users accustomed to the social media platform\u2019s open-access nature. Furthermore, critics argue that paid subreddits could suppress organic discussions and lead to the fragmentation of communities.<br \/>\nAs of now, it\u2019s not clear when exactly Reddit is planning to launch paid subreddits.
