Worth keeping in mind is that the passes will only last for three months once claimed.
\nAfter that, buddies will need to start paying for the subscription just like their friends. That will cost you $9.99 a month.
\nThe new Stadia buddy pass works the same as the first
\nThere’s no difference here between this second pass and the first one that went out last month.
\nThat means you can send the code to anyone you like. Either through email, social media, text message, Facebook Messenger etc. You can even just copy the link after hitting the buddy pass icon and tapping share and send it through any means.
\nIf you’ve missed the fact that you have another pass to send out, pop into the app. After opening the Stadia app on your phone you should see an envelope icon in the top left corner.
\nTap that and you’ll be given the options for sending it to someone. While this is a nice little gift for you, it’s an even nicer gift for the person who will be receiving it.
\nThere are free Stadia Pro games to grab too
\nMake sure to remind the person you send the pass to that there are games they get for free. Right now since it’s still December, Pro members will get December’s games at no cost. As long as they claim the invite this month.
\nThose games include Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition and Farming Simulator 2019. Destiny 2: The Collection is also available for free as a continuing Pro game for the time being.
\nSo that’s three games in all at no cost that they can use to test out Stadia. They’ll also have access to over 20 other games, including a few at a discount.
\nSpecifically Borderlands 3 and Ghost Recon Breakpoint. Borderlands 3 launched earlier today, while Ghost Recon Breakpoint launches tomorrow.
\n\u00a0<\/p>\n
In the spirit of the holidays, we have an early surprise gift for Stadia Founders: an extra Buddy Pass.
