Normally this controller is $179.99, but you can currently pick it up for $159.99 and save yourself $20. The Elite Series 2 Core is basically the same as the original Elite Series 2 controller with one key difference.<br \/>\nIt doesn\u2019t come with the hard shell case or the extra accessories. The extra accessories include the additional back paddles, the different d-pad, and the tools for adjusting joystick height. You can buy these separately though, so you get the full Elite Series 2 experience. The nice thing about this version is you save some money and you don\u2019t have to buy the extras if you don\u2019t want them.<br \/>\nAs for features, as we mentioned this controller is mostly the same as the original. You get the 8-way d-pad, four back paddle buttons that you can remap, and my personal favorite, the locking triggers. If you play a lot of first-person shooter games or third-person shooter games, the locking triggers are a huge advantage. As they allow you to fire your weapons quicker because the trigger pull is shorter.<br \/>\nIt is worth noting that this controller comes in four colors, but only the Black color is on sale right now. The controller also has a rechargeable battery, so you don\u2019t need to replace AA batteries like the standard Xbox Wireless controller that you can get for around $50.
